2010 Holiday Ball - Event Details
We are excited for this year’s “All Service Academies’ Holiday Ball” and anticipate a wonderful evening that will be memorable to you, your family and guests. Please find below some helpful information. As always, please do not hesitate to contact us or your Academy Reps with any questions. RSVP:
Official invitations will be sent out in November 2010. When you receive yours, please fill out the RSVP card and send it with a check/money order, payable to NTCUSA, to Laurie Larkin, NTCUSA Treasurer (address will be on the RSVP card). IF you have not received an invitation and would like to attend, please download a copy of the RSVP card from our website. If you have any questions or concerns, there are several contact numbers on our website for your convenience.
When you Arrive:
The Texas Ballroom is located on the 2nd floor of the Omni Fort Worth Hotel.
Registration tables will be located at the top of the escalators. Proceed to your Academy’s check-in desk to pick up your meal tickets, table assignment and other items. Check your packet for your table number and locate it early. When seated, please display the meal selection tickets on the table next to your plate to help the servers. (Details will be given at the registration table for Cadets and Midshipmen regarding the Grand March – please check-in by 6:15 pm.)
At 6:50 pm, a cadence drummer will begin. Guests will need to make their way to their table and Cadets and Midshipmen should be in formation for the Grand March. The Grand March will begin at 7:00 pm.
Dress for the evening:
Attire is evening formal for civilian guests (Tuxedo or dark business suit).
Mess dress or equivalent uniform is required for all Cadets and Midshipmen.
Female Cadets and Midshipmen may change into evening attire for dancing and fun after the formal program ends. Check with the registration table upon arrival for changing room location/details.
Hotel Rooms:
A block of hotel rooms has been reserved at the discounted rate of $109.00 for a single or double room. The cut-off date for accepting reservations into this room block is December 8, 2010. Call (817) 535-6664 and ask for the Holiday Ball rate.

Parking at the Omni:
Valet park at main hotel entrance off Houston Street. The pre-negotiated event rate is $8.00 for the evening.
Reception:
The reception for the Ball begins at 6:00 pm in the foyer of the Texas Ballroom. Cash Bars will be available for guests 21 years of age or older. The Grand March on will begin promptly at 7:00 pm.
Formal Program:
Our program will begin with a Grand March/Color Guard ceremony with all Cadets and Midshipmen participating.
Our keynote speaker is Stephen Coonts, U.S. Navy Aviator, Vietnam Veteran, and NY Times best-selling techno-thriller writer.
The program includes formal toasts, the recognition of the graduating Seniors, POW remembrance and Retirement of colors. The bars and the portrait photography will be closed during the formal program.

Commemorative Glasses:
Each attendee at the Ball will receive an engraved wine glass as a commemorative gift from the event. The glasses will be on the table and will be filled with sparkling cider when you take your seat. The cider will be used for several official toasts as part of the formal program. After the ball, the glass is yours to keep as a gift.
Entertainment:
The entertainment portion of our evening includes live music with “The Motivator” DJ, dancing, and complimentary Casino gaming.
Photography:
Professional photographer, Rex Teter, will be available to capture this special event for you and your family. Portrait photographs will be taken before and after the formal program in the foyer of the Texas Ballroom. During the formal program, Rex Teter will be taking lots of pictures of the event so you don’t have to!
